Kamari

Kamari is a seaside village located on the south east part of Santorini. It has a beautiful black beach with sand and pebbles. You will find lots of local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, nightclubs and beach bars. Kamari has a long promenade that is ideal for a relaxing stroll, avoiding the hills and the steps of the rest of Santorini. Its name comes from a small arch, which was a part of an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon standing on the south end of the beach. In Kamari you will also find the airport of Santorini and the famous open-air cinema surrounded by trees.
