Ammoudi is the small bay at the bottom of the idyllic Oia village. It’s a picturesque harbour with a natural breathtaking view under the caldera cliffs. In the bay there are small fishing boats and a few traditional taverns, ideal to enjoy fresh fish and other local tastes. To reach the bay you have two options, you can either follow the main downhill road or you can take the 200 steps from the upper side of Oia. However, Ammoudi is not just a simple bay with taverns, it can also offer you a magical diving experience and alternative swimming much different than the cosmopolitan beach resorts. There are no facilities there, only the crystal clear blue of the Aegean sea, the red cliffs of the Caldera and you.
