Εmporio or Nimporio is the largest village of the island with the most local inhabitants. During the Venetian occupation, the village was one of the 5 castles and the most important trade centre. Emporio means trade. It is located in the center of the South part  of Santorini. Even if it can’t offer you the breathtaking view of the Caldera, you will enjoy walking among the narrow streets and the colorful landscape, consisted of small houses, steps and flowers. If you are a photography lover this place could be ideal for you. You may also find some traditional Greek taverns and coffee shops where you can relax after the exploration of the village.
